The Lonely Planet has dubbed Ohrid as “Macedonia’s most seductive destination.” And for some good reasons too. Besides the stunning lake with surrounding landscape, the city is vivid and picturesque with its old quarter and numerous gorgeous churches. A medieval fortress also adorns the city skyline, counting also as per one of the most prominent points of interest to check once in town.
It’s certain that the vast majority of people who have visited Ohrid would remember it as a hot touristic destination, particularly true if you have traveled there during the summer months of July and August, the peak of the season. But looking back in time and revealing old postcards from this city, gives us a different taste of the Ohrid urbanscapes and lake. So, greetings from Ohrid, it is the 1930s on the postcards!
